Tyson Foods CEO Tom Hayes is looking to take his company beyond its poultry, beef and pork foundation and expand into animal-free protein alternatives with investments in businesses such as Beyond Meat Inc. Tyson produces one out of every five pounds of meat consumed in the U.S.
