Trump administration wants to throw three million off of food stamps

New rules proposed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture would limit access to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), effectively barring three million people who currently receive benefits from doing so in the future based on their personal assets instead of income. About 40 million people received SNAP benefits in 2018.
