Trader Joe’s cuts produce prices as it eliminates plastic

Jack Salamon, produce category manager for Trader Joe’s, announced on the company’s “Inside Trader Joe’s” podcast that the chain would sell more loose fruits and vegetables. The result of not packaging produce in plastic containers will mean lower prices for the chain’s customers, Mr. Salamon said.
