Teens are glued to their screens 7 hours per day
October 29, 2019
A new report from Common Sense Media puts U.S. teen screen use at an average of 7 hours per day for entertainment — that’s exclusive of schoolwork. That figure is up 42 minutes per day since 2015. Tweens are reported to be using various screen devices an average of 5 hours per day. Said Vicky Rideout, co-author of the report, there are “huge opportunities and important risks” within kids’ media use.
