China is the largest exporter of furniture to the U.S. and that has proven a negative for furniture retailers this year as Americans face higher prices for new items for their homes. “Tariffs are injecting greater-than-expected volatility into our marketplace,” said Wayfair co-founder and CEO Niraj Shah, after his company posted a bigger-than-expected loss during the most recent quarter.
