Target to increase Christmas hires by 20 percent

Target plans to add 120,000 seasonal workers for the 2018 holiday season, a 20 percent increase over last year, with double the number of workers being dedicated to fulfilling online orders and in-store pickup. The chain also announced it would increase pay for seasonal employees to $12, up from $11 in 2017, along with merchandise discounts in an effort to more effectively compete for workers.
