Starbucks’ Chief to Step Down

Starbucks’ president and chief executive officer, Orin Smith, has announced he will retire next year. Mr. Smith, will be replaced by the head of the company’s North American division, Jim Donald. Mr. Donald was the chief executive of the Pathmark supermarket chain before joining Starbucks in 2002.
