Papa John’s hires Arby’s president as new CEO
August 28, 2019
Rob Lynch, the president of Arby’s, will be Papa John’s new CEO, grabbing the baton from longtime franchisee Steve Ritchie who has run the chain for the last 18 months, following the resignation of company founder John Schnatter. Mr. Lynch, who will have his hands full getting the stumbling pizza chain on solid footing, held marketing positions at Taco Bell, H.J. Heinz and Procter & Gamble before his stint at Arby’s. (He has been a vocal opponent of plant-based meat alternatives, so don’t expect to see Beyond Meat sausage on your Papa John’s anytime soon.)
