NRF’s Shay says tariffs will not work

Matthew Shay, president and CEO of the National Retail Federation, says import tariffs against Canada, China, the European Union and Mexico are resulting in higher prices for American retailers and their customers. “Tariffs don’t work, they never worked, and they’re not going to work this time either,” Mr. Shay told CNBC.
