New study says Amazon less dominant than previously thought

New research from eMarketer puts Amazon.com’s share of online sales at 37.7 percent, well below its previous estimate of 47 percent. The research firm said its revised number is based on information publicly shared by CEO Jeff Bezos, who said third-party sellers are responsible for more sales on the online platform than Amazon itself.
