Monster Beverage and Coca-Cola go to arbitration over energy drinks

Coca-Cola took a 17 percent stake in Monster Beverage Corp in 2015. In doing so, Coke was to help Monster with distribution, but avoid directly competing with it in the energy drink market. Now, that Coke has decided to launch its own energy drinks – Coca-Cola Energy and Coca-Cola Energy No Sugar – the two companies are in arbitration to settle the dispute.
