Kmart declared its first quarterly profit since emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It earned $276 million in the fourth quarter compared to a loss of $1.1 billion the year earlier.

Waffle House workers in Conyers, Georgia, are now on their third day of striking over what they call the company’s unfair policies.
