Home Depot Apologizes to Pencil-Lifter

A carpenter who absent-mindedly put a pencil belonging to Home Depot in his pocket after purchasing lumber was accused of shoplifting and banned from the store over the incident. Corporate headquarters intervened and apologized to the Michael Panorelli of Lawrence, Mass. The ban has also been lifted.
