Fred’s to close another 104 stores

Fred’s said it plans to close 104 stores by the end of next month in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. The newly announced store closures are in addition to 159 locations the chain previously announced in April that it would shutter.
