Fewer Chinese choosing U.S. as tourist destination

The number of Chinese citizens who came to visit and shop in the U.S. declined by a bigger than expected 10 percent in 2018, according to data from the Commerce Department. That downward trend has continued during the first half of 2019 with a further 5.3 percent drop in Chinese tourists to the U.S.
