Dollar stores and Costco among the winners following Toys ‘R’ Us’ demise

Walmart has grabbed 26 percent of the shopper traffic that used to go to Toys “R” Us, while Target has improved 14 percent, according to a Gordon Haskett research note. Other chains that have seen their toy-related traffic improve are Dollar General (+14 percent), Dollar Tree (+10 percent) and Costco (+ eight percent).
