Tropicana and Galaxy Nutritional Foods have announced a joint venture to launch a new soy-based beverage called the Galaxy Ultra Smoothie. The new drink will include a blend of Tropicana juices with Galaxy’s soy milk.

Chris New, chief operating officer, Galaxy Nutritional Foods, told Reuters. “This product is going to be primarily sold through the natural food segment. The market for smoothies overall is in excess of $600 million, and we’re optimistic that it will become a very viable player in the Galaxy portfolio.”
