Super-Sol Charges Suppliers with Theft
By George Anderson
An article in last week’s Haaretz from Israel alleges the Super-Sol supermarket chain is charging suppliers for shrink due to product theft.
The retailer allegedly began sending bills for “missing inventory” with a letter accusing suppliers’ delivery people with theft. Super-Sol, Haaretz’ sources say, began this practice when it “discovered a discrepancy between the number of items it purchased from the suppliers and the number of products that its stores sold.”

to Super-Sol’s policy for billing suppliers for “missing inventory”? Where does
the “blame” for shrink belong? [George
