The Albany (NY) Times Union reports Starbucks will open a full-service shop inside a branch of a Charter One bank next month.

Charter One plans to keep the branch open from six in the morning until 10 at night, the same as the Starbucks.

Mark Grossi, executive vice president and chief retail officer, Charter One said, “They (consumers) were going to come for the coffee anyway. If they’re in there at 6:30 in the morning or 9:30 at night, they can knock out their banking too.”

Starbucks’ spokesperson Audrey Lincoff said the Charter One deal provides an “opportunity for customers to be where they want to be and in some cases be surprised that we are there, too.”
