Retailer is Certifiably Organic

By George Anderson

Whole Foods Market has announced its retail operations have been “Certified Organic” by Quality Assurance International (QAI).

Certification by QAI means Whole Foods handles organics in line with national guidelines from receipt all the way to the consumer.

“Earning organic certification is further proof of Whole Foods Market’s unwavering commitment to organics that began when our first store opened almost 23 years ago,” said Margaret Wittenberg, vice president of governmental and public affairs for Whole Foods Market.

Moderator’s Comment: What will QAI’s certification
mean to Whole Foods?

This designation mostly amounts to preaching to the choir.
