CoolSavings’ 20-Million-Member Milestone Reflects e-growth

More than 20 million consumers, representing 18.4 million U.S. households, have signed up at the CoolSavings Inc.’s Web site, www.coolsavings.com. Its membership base comprises 34 percent of the nearly 54 million U.S. households
online, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s “A Nation On Line, How
Americans are Expanding their Use of the Internet.” Female shoppers account
for nearly 68 percent of membership, mirroring a trend reported in a February
2002 Commerce Department study, showing women aged 20 to 50 are outpacing men
on the traditionally male-dominated Internet.

In March, Jupiter Media Metrix reported CoolSavings as the 32nd most visited Web property on the Internet with monthly traffic on par with leading sites such as iVillage, Expedia Travel, and Travelocity.
