Campbell’s in On-The-Go with Soup Expansion
RetailWire sponsor (full disclosure), Campbell Soup Co. announced its biggest product launch since the 1970’s today with an expansion of ready-to-eat soups.
The Wall Street Journal reports “The latest effort includes a new package for Campbell’s Chunky and Select soups — a disposable, single-serve microwavable bowl — in addition to the traditional can.”
Campbell’s also plans to expand its Soup at Hand microwavable line of soups that come in a portable container for consumers to sip while they are on-the-go.

portability, will consumers be more willing to add soup to their on-the-go food
options?
Consumers are learning that products that are fast and
big on taste are not necessarily healthy. Campbell’s seems ready to deliver
on speed, taste and nutrition. The company’s expansion indicates they’ve also
addressed the concerns raised by some about the liability of soup spills in
the laps of consumers. [George
