7-Eleven’s PL Import Beer to Debut

By George Anderson

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports 7-Eleven will roll out its Santiago
private label beer in June to about half of its stores in the US.

Santiago will be brewed by SABMiller for 7-Eleven at Cerveceria La Constancia,
an SABMiller subsidiary in El Salvador.

Moderator’s Comment: What are your thoughts on 7-Eleven
offering a private label imported beer and SABMiller producing a private label
brew for a retailer?

Great move for 7-Eleven. Is SABMiller hoisting the white
flag on its branded business? [George
