China’s trade surplus with U.S. rose in June

Tariffs already imposed on Chinese imports as well as threats of additional levies by President Donald Trump failed to cut into the U.S. trade deficit with China last month. China’s trade surplus grew 11 percent with the U.S. despite imports having decreased 31.4 percent year-over-year.
