More than 5,800 fire departments across the country, including the department in La Crosse, Wisconsin are participating in the Change Your Clock Change Your Battery home fire safety program. Homeowners and renters are encouraged to change their smoke and fire alarm batteries when clocks change back to standard time on Oct. 29.
