Low vaccination rates and the rapid transmission of the Delta variant has prompted the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to change its guidance for mask wearing. The CDC is now recommending that even vaccinated individuals in areas where COVID-19 cases are on the rise to wear masks in public indoor spaces.
