Barneys reaches deal to sell its assets

Authentic Brands Group, the owner of Nine West and Aéropostale, has reached agreement to buy Barneys New York’s assets and close its remaining stores. The deal, which is valued at $271 million, will mean that Barneys will avoid a total liquidation of its business.
