Amazon fights South American countries for .amazon domain name

Who owns the name Amazon? According to Jeff Bezos and company, it’s the e-tail and tech giant. Eight South American countries that contain parts of the Amazon rain forest and the river with the same name do not agree. That’s the basis for the legal argument over what or who should be able to use the .amazon domain name.
