Alexa Guard is a new mode that can alert homeowners if the device hears a smoke detector go off, a home security alarm or telltale sounds, like breaking glass. Alexa-enabled devices set to use the service can also notify the owner’s home security service, if they use one, and cycle the home’s lights on at off to make it look like someone is there.
