Yahoo says ‘state-sponsored’ hackers stole data on 500 million users

In what could be the largest data breach in history, Yahoo has confirmed that hackers connected to an unknown country stole personal information including passwords back in 2014. Yahoo, which is in the process of being acquired by Verizon, just recently told the company about the hack. The Federal Bureau of Investigations is investigating Yahoo’s claim.
