Verlin P. Youd

Verlin Youd is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at SCOPIX. He is responsible for all market growth initiatives, including direct sales, channels/partners, strategic alliances, marketing, and press and analyst relations. Verlin is a member of the SCOPIX senior management team, where he is specifically responsible for ensuring that SCOPIX's solutions are accepted by leading retailers and the retail marketplace as a whole.

Verlin has 20 years of retail industry and software experience and a strong track record of success. Prior to SCOPIX, Mr. Youd was Senior Vice President of Global Trade Sector for SAP. In this role, Verlin was responsible for SAP's global business in retail, wholesale, and transportation & logistics. Prior to SAP, Mr. Youd was the Vice President of Global Industry Solutions for Motorola Solutions where he led the development and implementation of global strategies and initiatives across all target industries including Retail, Wholesale, and Transportation, as well as Manufacturing, Energy and Utilities, Healthcare and Field Mobility. Mr. Youd held the same position at Symbol Technologies prior to Motorola's acquisition in 2007. He also spent time at IBM and Systech Retail Systems, now part of Torex, where he held a variety of executive and management roles in roles in sales, marketing, solutions, channels, product management, and development.

Mr. Youd holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, and an MBA from The Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He resides with his family in North Carolina where he is active in local community groups, activities and charitable organizations.
