One-click buying moves closer to going web-wide

The World Wide Web Consortium (AKA W3C) has brought together major players on the internet including Apple, Facebook and Google to create a one-click payment standard that will work everywhere online. Google has recently introduced the standard to some of its Chrome browsers. As to security, the new payment option will create a one-time token for each transaction instead of leaving individuals’ credit card numbers in multiple databases spread around the internet.
