Lidl looks to conquer America with its ‘premium private label’ brands

Karen Short, a food and grocery analyst at Barclay’s, believes Lidl is looking to play a similar role to Wegmans as Trader Joe’s does to Whole Foods. The key is getting consumers to trial its high-quality private labels that make up 90 percent of the products on Lidl’s shelves.
