FTC may sue to block Rite Aid/Walgreens deal

Rite Aid’s shares fell 8.5 percent and Fred’s stock declined 8.6 percent on a Capitol Forum report that said the Federal Trade Commission is considering filing a lawsuit to block Walgreens’ acquisition of the number three drugstore chain.
