Walmart Greeters Get New Assignment

A lot of changes have taken place at Walmart over the years since Sam Walton's passing, but the latest may have him flipping over in his grave. Walmart will be moving greeters from its lobbies and closer to cash registers in a move designed to better assist shoppers and apparently save the company money. Bad, bad, and bad. Greeters are a critical part of Walmart's history and play an important part at managing the front of the store as well as assisting older shoppers, mothers with children, and keeping the entry way open. This improves traffic flow as well as the first impression for customer service when a customer enters the store. Home Depot has copied this, and even the clubs have a type of greeter to check your card and ask for assistance.
