Best Buy reorganizes marketing operations

The consumer electronics chain has parted ways with top executive and folded marketing responsibilities under merchandising as part of a plan to reduced costs and streamline operations. Mike Mohan, Best Buy’s merchandising chief, will now oversee marketing. Whitt Alexander, a senior marketing executive with the chain, has been named chief marketing officer.
