Amazon’s warehouse hires help offset retail job losses

The warehousing industry has added about 444,000 jobs since 2000, about the same number of jobs lost in retail, according to the U.S. Labor Department. About 25 percent of the warehouse jobs added over the past 20 years have been at Amazon.com.
