Amazon’s more honest review policy could be a boon for retailers

In October of last year, Amazon banned paid reviews on its site. According to Jenn Markey of 360pi, the “policy change has significantly impacted the relative perceived popularity of different products and brands on Amazon.com.” Ms. Markey believes the more reliable consumer-generated views could be of great benefit to retailers with the ability to aggregate that data for their own intelligence purposes.
