Amazon testing tech to deliver food without refrigeration

Amazon.com has been looking at technology developed for the U.S. military that allows food to be delivered without the need for refrigeration. The technology, microwave assisted thermal sterilization (MATS), was developed by researchers at Washington State University. It involves placing heat sealed packages in pressurized water and heating them with microwaves.
