Joel Rubinson serves The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) as Chief Research Officer.
Formerly, Joel was Senior Vice-President, Head of Solutions and Advanced Analytics for Synovate Americas where he led Synovate's efforts on branding and shopper insights methodologies. Before joining Synovate, Joel was at the NPD Group for many years, most recently involved in leading the development of their category management reporting tools. Joel is also a published author on market structure analysis methods, which are often used today as an input into assortment planning and planogram creation. He is also an acknowledged expert on new product forecasting methods.
Joel has published numerous papers in professional journals, taught the official American Marketing Association advanced tutorial on brand loyalty and lectured at Columbia, NYU, Wharton, Amos Tuck School, and University of Rochester, among others. Joel holds an MBA in statistics and economics from the University of Chicago and a BS from NYU.
